This prison of Colombian women has a restaurant behind its bars to help the inmates.

The intention behind this is twofold. Its main objective is to challenge the way in which Colombian burkina faso email list society perceives ex-prisoners by portraying women in a positive way. Here is the psychology behind this: if the public sees the women running the restaurant successfully, acting as waitresses, cooks, hostesses and cashiers, they may later see them for something more than the crimes they committed. At that time, perhaps society will see them more for their potential and will give them a good opportunity to reintegrate, after being released.
